East Cobb Urgent Care is staffed by dedicated, people-oriented medical professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, paramedics, medical assistants, and support staff.
Meet the Principals
East Cobb Urgent Care operates under the direction of Dr. Mark Winokur and Dr. Lonnie King. Collectively, they have over 40 years of experience in emergency medicine.
ECUC co-founder Dr. Winokur graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Vanderbilt University. He received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School and completed his internship and residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Louisville. Dr. Winokur has practiced emergency medicine since 1988 and has been the medical director of a busy, local hospital emergency department. Dr. Winokur and his family have lived in East Cobb since 1992.
Dr. King graduated from the University of Chicago. He received his medical degree, Cum Laude, from the University of Louisville and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at that institution's Hospital and Clinics. He has practiced emergency medicine since 1981 and pediatric emergency medicine since 1990. Before co-founding ECUC, he was an associate clinical professor of pediatric emergency medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and has been a hospital emergency department medical director. Dr. King and his family have lived in East Cobb since 1995.
